'65 Split

'65 LHD Split  US import
Walkthrough
Came with:
6 pop outs
Electric sunroof
Replica fusch  alloys
1600 t/p engine

Bought this off a member of FlatFourFanatics as a unfinished project.
He had done all the necessary welding -  sills, rear arches, complete front panel, windscreen surround etc. He also built a body roller for it and bare-metalled and then painted the underneath, inside and engine bay in blue. All of this done in a big tent in his back garden in winter! It came mainly bare-metalled on the outside, with the underneath, interior and engine bay already painted.

The shade of blue was a bit bright for us, so we  painted it in sea blue on the bottom half and blue-white on the top half.
All seals, brakes and running gear needed to be replaced and apart from the 2 cab seats, there was no interior so we are planning on making a copy of a period devon interior.  Lots of missing bits to collect too.

Some pics of the bus in California and of Jamie collecting it from London. It had a home-made roll cage and ally panelling inside.
