Current Spec
Fresh from a nut & bolt resto. It's still not finished - lots to do on the interior & electrics, but is on the road for the first time in 2 years. The extras will hopefully be done for Summer 2005 depending on other projects.

Re-con 1600 engine (original lasted 23yrs)
009 dizzy & Bosh Blue Coil
Electronic ignition
Weber 32/36
s/s autocavan turbo tuckaway system
Alternator conversion
VDO Temperature-sender dip stick
VDO Oil pressure sender (twin connection type)
Stock 1300 'box with 1600 clutch

Interior

This is where the biggest changes have been, but everything can be easily changed back to stock if required.

Recovered front & rear Golf GTI seats in Vauxhall black and Mini Cooper material
Golf GTI steering wheel
Matching door panels and rear parcel shelf
Black full carpet
New headlining
Chrome window winders
Stock uncut dash bar vdo oil temp, pressure and voltmeter in grill
Switch holes above the stereo slot removed & headlight switch relocated
Central locking & thatcham cat1 alarm

KYB gas shock absorbers at rear
Bugpack shocks at front
Front disc conversion (from a 1500)
Adjustable beam
Type 3 rear brakes
Riviera Alloys semi polished
Chrome bits to brighten it up
Heavy duty anti-roll bar
Rear camber compensator
New rubber bushes

Body

Full nut & bolt resto. Repainted in original kasan red
Rechromed bumpers with middle rubber bump strip.
Re-done / new chrome all-round
Stainless steel nuts and bolts throughout
'Clip on' style bonnet & boot seal (original style removed)
Clear indicator lenses
