MOT Time

The car went back to Volksmagic for the final pre-mot bits. Main headscratcher was the exhaust which Lee spent ages cutting up, bending some new sections and welded it up. He also made some head shields out of ali chequerplate for the sides of the silencers. Frosty was busy getting the electric windows to work off passat rear door handles / e/w switches that were added for a modern feel which necessitated a couple of relays per side. I was having trouble getting time off work so they were dealing with lots of snagging issues meantime. I did manage to get the Thursday off so went over to help. The mot place is next door to Lee's so he booked us a slot between 3 & 4pm. At this point in time it was 9am and there was a list a couple of pages long for a mot needed jobs. after a manic day we drove it round to the mot place at 3:30 and the waiting began. Wasn't expecting it to pass first time thinking sods law is bound to come into play with the Monday deadline, but nothing raised any concerns (apart from when the mot bloke nearly missed the ramp!) and we got a pass. Couple more bits after the mot and the car was back off to mine for some interior and ICE work before the trimmers.
