1302 Eurolook project
Finished & Thanks

As you know these things are never truely finished and there's always more you want to do and this is no exception. However things were not quite as they appeared on film. A few hectic nights by myself and Rich saw us finish the car at 1am the morning of Brighton Breeze and then get up at 5am to drive down there. The car made it down with no problems which wasn't bad considering the car only had a first drive a couple of nights previously for a few miles. Too much tea by those who shall not be names meant we missed a good bit of the cruise but The Greenhearts had saved us a space in their line-up which was quite a privilege (very friendly bunch).
The Brighton show itself was a really good day out - well worth a visit. After a good bit of  polishing and some very embarrassing driving around Brighton and up and down Madera Drive behind a tv camera on a pickup we headed off to enjoy the rest of the show and veging out on the beach.

It had been a very full-on 5 months but I'm pretty pleased with the result. The cars handles well due to the uprated suspension and stops like a modern car due to the 4 wheel discs. It does motorway speeds all day (which has surprised a few modern cars). There's still lots of bits I want to do on it. Lots of little details to finish off that had to be ignored to meet the deadline etc. Next on the list are some adjustable rear spring plates, a new ali firewall and a few minor bits here and there.
Would we do it again? Mmm. Probably - but not to such a tight deadline as it means compromises had to be made (although these are now being rectified).
Then again as Emma said - there isn't a end - they'll only start on the next project.
