Club Members Cars: Martin's mk2 GP Buggy

Martin got this off a neighbour. Originally built in the 80's, it did a couple of shows and was then stripped as the owner intended to start producing the bodies in fibreglass. This never happened and the body remained in the garden, bits in a box trailer & chassis in a heated garage for 10 years. Martin remembers it driving around when he was a kid. It featues lots of rare 70's performance stuff like deano dynosaur manifolds, rare split-rim wheels etc. The original owner had got all the 'right' bits and even chromed nuts & bolts & various bits that you couldn't buy ready done then. Martin rebuilt it all & resprayed the body in the original blue in a chicken shed. Currently the engine's a 1500 with a single 40IDA carb, stainless cannon exhausts, red tinware and white leather seats. Now with matching hood.
